Dr. Garrett is a Grand Junction, Colorado native. He graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He then taught high school science classes for a few years with Teach for America, before completing a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University (CSU) in 2020.
He especially enjoys working with cats, dogs, and turtles. He chose veterinary medicine because he is passionate about helping people care for their pets.
When not at work, Dr. Garrett spends his free time adventuring outdoors (mountain biking, hiking, skiing, canyoneering, etc.). An avid cook, he enjoys experimenting with new recipes. He also stays busy caring for several furry friends at home: his cat Remus (aka Remi or Chicken Pie), his Rottweiler Zuri, and he shares joint custody of multiple additional cats, plus his mother’s whippet Pablo.×
